What We Do
The adept diversified healthcare
providers in our multidiscipline center will combine knowledge and
expertise to maximize all potentials. At Crescenta Family Medical we
provide medical care
as well as: acupuncture, massage and
chiropractic treatment.
Although all patients have similarities in anatomy
and physiology, no two persons are alike. Each patient has a unique
health history and unique health expectations. It is indeed the reason
why our team of experts, in a multi-care center, takes extra time to
formulate a specific and individual treatment plan for your condition.
Generally, the treatment process will consist of three steps:
- Intensive
- Reconstructive/Rehabilitation
- Active Home Care and/or Maintenance
Cost and insurance questions concern
many patients. Although each
prescribed course of treatment calls for different financial requirements,
most insurance companies pay for these treatments. To maximize treatment
results and minimize cost, patient compliance, as well as general
contractual agreements and protocols must be met. Our office staff
is knowledgeable in dealing with insurance questions and is always
available to assist you. We will do our best to provide your insurance
company with the required information based upon your specific insurance
plan and condition.
For patients without insurance or patients with deductibles, non-covered
services, co-insurance payments and/or co-payments, financial arrangements
can be discussed with our financial administrator to help establish
an easy payment plan. We accept Visa and Mastercard for your convenience.
By taking a team approach to your healthcare needs
and providing a multidiscipline approach in one convenient location,
you receive the best, most comprehensive care possible, saving you
time and money.

Acupuncture
Acupoints within the meridial system can be stimulated
to enhance the flow of qi (pronounced CHEE). When acupuncture
needles are inserted into these acupoints (just under the skin),
they help correct and rebalance the flow of energy and consequently
relieve pain and/or restore health. These acupoints are grouped along
specific pathways or meridians that cross the body. The flow
of energy, through these pathways, helps to maintain good health.
When the flow of energy is blocked for any reason, there is disruption
of health, which may result in pain and illness. By stimulating
appropriate acupuncture points along these meridians, the energy
is released and regulated, and health may be restored.
Commonly treated conditions are as follows:
- Neck Pain
- Shoulder Pain
- Knee Pain
- Foot/Ankle Pain
- Sciatica
- Tendonitis
- Numbness/ Poor Circulation
- Arthritis/Joint Problems
- Headache/Migraine
- Allergies/Asthma

Massage
The massage therapist, trained in a variety of massage techniques
such as reflexology, myofascial release, shiatsu, deep tissue work,
hot stone therapy and aromatherapy provides a wide range of benefits.
These benefits include:
- Release of stress and fatigue by increasing
total relaxation
- A chemical release which increases a sense
of well-being
- Greater body awareness of where you “Hold
your Stress”
- Increased oxygenation of the cells, which
allows the cells to heal more quickly
- Stimulating soft tissues, such as muscles,
that might otherwise be neglected
- Lymphatic drainage which can enhance the
body’s natural immunity
- Stimulation and conditioning of the skin
and underlying cutaneous tissues
- Relief of tightened muscles, tendons, and
ligaments caused by illness, injury, lack of exercise, and/or
stretching
Stress relief alone can improve your vitality
and state of mind. Massage therapy can play an important role
in your life.
